Thorning to Represent Sharks at NCAA DII National Championship

KENOSHA, Wisc. -- Nova Southeastern's Jillian Thorning has had a stellar season thus far, but there's still more work to be done. The junior from Doylestown, Pennsylvania will be representing the Sharks at the NCAA Division II National Championship in Kenosha, Wisconsin in the Women's 6K tomorrow morning.

Thorning placed top-five at the NCAA South Regional Meet, finishing fifth with a time of 21:35.7 to qualify for the National Championship. Prior to that, at the Sunshine State Conference Championships, she won the 2025 Individual Championship with a season-best time of 21:15.8. For her efforts, Thorning was voted SSC Runner of the Year for the second year in a row and was also named First Team All-SSC.

The 2025 NCAA DII National Championship will commence Saturday morning at 11am Eastern Time, and Thorning will be looking to add more hardware to the trophy case.  To stay up-to-date on Sharks Cross Country, be sure to follow on Instagram and Twitter at NSU_XCTF.
