LAKELAND, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern University Men's Golf team began play in the Matlock Classic Monday morning. Nova Southeastern finished day one in sixth place (+2). With Bruno Marques (-3) sitting in 10th and Ivan Ponsdomenech (-1) inside the top-20 for the Sharks.

· Bruno Marques began his day with three birdies on the front nine, finishing his first round of play -1.
· In round two, Marques birdied the opening two holes, finishing with a total of five birdies in the round and finished day one shooting three-under.
· Ivan Ponsdomenech opened his first round with consecutive pars, totaling three birdies on the back nine.
· In round two, Ponsdomenech caught fire, shooting par or better on all but one hole, ending his day tied for 13th shooting one-under.
· Will McGhie tallied eight consecutive pars to begin round one, adding in a pair of birdies on the back nine.
· Round two for McGhie included three birdies and an eagle, concluding day one three-over.
· In round one, Elias Mardeni collected birdies on seven holes, ending day one three-over.
· Jorge Berea posted scores of 76 and 74 in the first and second rounds, respectively.
