WINTER PARK, Fla. - The Nova Southeastern rowing team began its 2026 season on Lake Maitland competing in three races at 2000m at the TARS Regatta hosted by Rollins College. The Sharks placed no lower than third across the three races in the season opening meet.

The Sharks placed third in varsity 8 featuring Margianna Petridi, Jo Maruskin, Emma Hickey, Marley Camm, V Robinson, Triumph Perry, Lucia Allen, Gianna Middleton, and Chrysta Snair (coxswain) with a time of 7:12.1 only placing behind the two boats from the host, Rollins, but ahead of the boat from UCF.
In the women's first varsity 4+ boat featuring Margianna Petridi, Jo Maruskin, Emma Hickey, Gianna Middleton, and Chrysta Snair (coxswain) the grouping placed second in the race with a time of 7:41.6 faster than boats from Rollins, Barry, and UCF.
Nova Southeastern's final event of the TARS Regatta, was the women's 2nd varsity 4+ boat featuring Julianna Becerra, Marley Camm, Julia Vandekieft, Sophia Flores, and Daphne De Sedas (coxswain) with a time of 8:24.3 ahead of Barry and UCF, placing third.
