WINTER PARK, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern rowing team's varsity-8 crew took the season's first Sunshine State Conference Boat of the Week honors, as announced Monday.
NSU began its season Saturday at the Spring Break Race on Winter Park's Lake Maitland. The Sharks won the eight-boat race over NCAA Division I schools Villanova and Duquesne as well as Sunshine State Conference foe Rollins. The crew recorded a time of 6:27.3.
The V8 boat was comprised of: coxswain

Stephanie Hauck (Sr., Somers Point, N.J.),
Bethany Warlich (Fr., Leeds Point, N.J.),
Tori Torrisi (So., Saratoga, N.Y.),
Megan O'Donnell (Jr., Lake Worth, Fla.),
Amanda Craig (Jr., Berlin, N.J.),
Emily Harrington (Sr., Virginia Beach, Fla.),
Remi McClellan (Jr., Mullica, N.J.) and
Kelly Scott (Jr., Hobe Sound, Fla.).
NSU will return to Central Florida on March 22 to take on No. 5 Central Oklahoma in a crucial regional battle.
