Pate was a dominant post presence for the NSU women's basketball team during the school's final years in the Florida Sun Conference. Pate led her team to two Florida Sun Conference Championships and compiled two Florida Sun Player of the Year awards.

With 1,692 points and 1,056 rebounds, Pate is the most prolific scorer and rebounder in NSU history. She ranks in multiple single-season top five lists with 531 points (2nd), a .570 field goal percentage (2nd), 180 field goals made (3rd), and 171 free throws made (4th).

Pate started off her NSU career with a bang, earning Florida Sun Freshman of the Year honors and Player of the Year honors after the 2000-01 season. She would finish her career with multiple All-Region and All-Tournament Team honors.

Pate not only stood out on the hardwood but also excelled in the classroom. She was a two-time CoSIDA/ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District honoree and was named a NAIA All-American Scholar during the 2001-02 season.
